Thinking Our Way Into Joy

Thinking Our Way Into Joy
by Jennifer Hoffman
=======================

Each incarnation is a journey into wholeness, where we attempt to heal our belief that we have been separated from Source, disconnected from the flow of Universal energy that is our source of divine empowerment. Within the dense energies of the material plane we are fooled into believing that our source of empowerment is here on earth and we try to create perfection in the physical world, believing through it that we will find peace and joy. One way we do this is through creating the perfect mind-developing the ego so we can think our way into joy.

Our soul wounds represent our energetic imbalances. To heal the wound we create its corresponding energy in our current lifetime and work our way through it. With enlightenment we know that we must turn to our spiritual center for help. Without enlightenment, we turn to the ego and try to use the mind to solve the problem. But since the mind is what helped create the problem, when we follow this course we simply become more enmeshed in the wound's energy. The mind, without spirit, is unbalanced and only has access to the energy of fear.

The mind does what it is designed to do, ensure the functioning of the body, protect us using its memory of potentially harmful situations and move us along our life path in a linear manner. But without spirit the mind cannot access a higher vibration and that is why, when the focus is on mind development, to the exclusion of spirit, we repeat patterns and cycles, staying enmeshed in our karma. Then we turn to war, domination, power and intimidation to alter our reality because those are the tools of the mind and fear is its vibration.

The ego's power is centered in the mind and it will do what it can to ensure that it stays in control, believing in the illusion of its reality because it can see nothing else. It is the mind, acting alone, that tells you your life will not change, you will never have, do or be what you want, and it is the mind that gets stuck. Without spirit, the mind lacks balance, compassion, access to spiritual truth and a higher vibration. Since our journey is one of integrating all of our aspects into wholeness in body, mind and spirit, we must learn to calm the mind, make peace with the ego and enable it to view spirit not as the enemy but as a source of the higher vibrational energies it needs to shift into mastery and allow ascension to occur.
